We measure the number of Dane County single family home listings with accepted offers on the last day of each month. This snapshot provides us with a forward looking view of Madison area home sales over the next two months.
Dane County Pending Home Sales - November 2013 (excluding condos)
On November 30th, 422 Dane County single family home listings had accepted offers, roughly even with the 420 listings on November 30th of 2012. This snapshot suggests we'll see home sales in December and January on pace with the sales totals from the same months the year prior. *Note this month's pending homes sales are up by 37% from the same month two years ago.
Although Dane County home sales have been rising since July of 2011, our pending home sales data suggests strong, but moderating sales activity in the months ahead.
