We measure the number of Dane County single family home listings with accepted offers on the last day of each month. This snapshot provides us with a forward looking view of Madison area home sales over the next month.
Dane County Pending Home Sales - May 2013 (excluding condos)
On May 31st, 1,198 Dane County single family home listings had accepted offers, up 32% from the 911 listings on May 31st of 2012. This snapshot predicts we'll see a higher level of home sales in June compared to the same month in 2012. *Note this month's pending homes sales are up by 87% from the same month two years ago.
Dane County home sales have been rising since July of 2011. Our pending home sales data shows this trend will continue into the summer months. Based on our data and day-to-day work in the real estate market, we expect robust home sales throughout the 2013 sales year.
