Spurred by the tax credit, months of inventory for Dane County homes had improved for many price categories; however, now inventory levels in many price categories have risen due to the change in the market since the tax credit expired. Months of inventory have risen for all price categories under $350,000. Months of inventory have decreased in some of the price categories at the high end of the market.

Active listings for Dane County homes have decreased in many price categories.

Sales have decreased in most price categories.

The August 31st inventory level for Dane County condos was 19.4 months. Inventory levels were high across all price ranges.

Although still high, months of inventory for Dane County condos have dropped in many of the price categories at $300,000 and above. Inventory has increased significantly for price points under $200,000.
